This report examines how DirecTV’s positions itself in three key markets: Argentina, Brazil, and the
United States. The primary objective is to assess how the company manages its relationships with
two critical stakeholder groups: government institutions and media organizations.
Drawing on internal documents, industry reports, official statements, and media monitoring data,
the report evaluates how DirecTV adapts its communication approach in diverse political,
regulatory, and media landscapes. It assesses variables such as stakeholder engagement,
regulatory communication, media tone, topic relevance, and media reach, contextualizing these
within each country’s socio-political environment.
The analysis applies frameworks from strategic communication and corporate public affairs,
emphasizing the importance of alignment between communication goals and stakeholder
expectations. Particular attention is given to how DirecTV balances its regional and global
messaging, manages its brand identity across markets (including the Sky brand in Brazil), and
